Let us stand in line for you at the RMV!

We provide weekly courtesy service to the RMV in Northampton and Greenfield. You can leave your paperwork with us and we will have it processed at the RMV. Please call us for further details. Please note that the Registry of Motor Vehicles now has a Customer Service Toll-Free Number available and can answer your questions concerning registrations and titles at 1-800-858-3926. The RMV is located on the World Wide Web at www.massrmv.com. You can now renew your registration , pay a fine or ticket, change your address on the internet and find answers to some of your questions. As always, please feel free to call us anytime you have questions with either the RMV or questions regarding your insurance.

Can I Check the Premium Balance on My Auto or Homeowners Policy?

Currently only those clients insured with Safety Insurance Company & Union Mutual of Vermont/New England Guaranty may view the premium balance on their policy online.

Where can I find the current value of my car, truck, motorcycle or RV?

  You can find the value of most new and older vehicles by visiting the NADA on the World Wide Web at www.nadaguides.com.

 

If you have a homeowners claim, what should you do?

  1. Always report a fire to the responding Fire Department and thefts to the Police Department where the theft occurred.

  2. Take emergency measures to prevent further damage.

  3. Report the loss to your homeowners insurance agent.

  4. If an emergency related to fire, smoke or water damage, contact a Fire & Water Damage Restoration company; see the yellow pages in your phone book.

 

If you're involved in a car accident, what do you do first?

  1. Most importantly, call 9-1-1 if there are injuries to anyone involved.

  2. Next, obtain information from people directly involved in the incident- Year, Make, Model, Registration Number, description of damage, name of driver (and owner, if different)with license number of other vehicle, location of accident.

  3. Name and address of injured and extent of injury

  4. Name and address of witness

  5. Report to police department (Call the State Police if on a state highway, local Police Department if on private or town property.

  6. Remove any personal property if your vehicle is not drivable

  7. Report to your auto insurance agent. If we are your agent, please call us during our business hours (see hours at "Contacting Us"). We are not able to take phone calls after hours. However, the policyholder or the operator of the vehicle involved must contact us within 24 hours of the accident. (See #8)

  8. Complete an Operator's Report (obtained from your insurance agent) and mail original to Registry of Motor Vehicles with copies to police and insurance agent.

  9. If injured and unable to report, have someone contact your insurance agent for you. Other information may be obtained from the investigating Police Department.

 

What's new in Massachusetts insurance?

The New Consumer Guide to Mass. Auto Insurance for 2003 and the 7th edition of the Massachusetts Insurance Policy is now available by calling our office or stopping by during normal business hours.
